Project Overview

How to urge Millenials to donate by making it easier for them to do so

Poverty, as Indonesia's most serious human rights issue, necessitates a community-wide effort to alleviate it. However, the media, talents, and resources available to millennials sometimes limit their giving. In terms of sharing, the millenial age has a practice of doing so instantly using technology. However, these websites and applications only accept monetary donations, whereas other types of donations are needed or can be offered by people.

Challenge

Create a website that allows people to donate to society in a straightforward and transparent way. Hopefully, this will encourage millennials to take an active role in decreasing poverty and assisting those in need using their skills.

Research & Planning

Gaining insight & empathy

We are segmenting our target for our application before discovering the problem. In order to accomplish this, we are conducting an interview to determine the true problem. Three people were interviewed, all of whom lived in Surabaya, were between the ages of 20 and 30, shared a similar interest in charity and humanitarian work. From there, we develop a user persona to assist the person for whom the app was created.

User Research Questions

To confirm that an issue existed, we spoke with a few folks to gather their perspectives on donation apps.

User Persona

We create the segmenation of our user target based on the geographic and demographic

User Flow

We created the user flow to help users understand each step of their journey and what they should do at each one.

Wireframes

We knew from our research that the survey overview and individual survey pages were where drop off could occur. We explored a variety of layouts for those two pages in wireframes to determine which type of layout would create an easy and engaging user experience.
